Links
Links! To Supergirl sites, Power Girl sites, essays, related comicbook sites, even online stores that sell back issue comics. About the only thing you won't find here is a link to the godawful DC message boards, a smelly cesspit of stupidity and rampantly sexist fanboys.
Supergirl Sites
- Super. Girl. - a fresh, fun, breezy site devoted to exploring the history of Supergirl in comic books and her importance in pop culture
- The Supergirl Project - issue downloads of the Linda Danvers Supergirl series
- Itsumo Supergirl - main features are an "Extras" section containing "Supergirl Merchandise", "The Daring Outfit Choices Of Linda Danvers", and two Matrix photo-bios under "Articles"; and the "Artwork" section which showcases some very cool original Supergirl art: check out the artist's Deviant Art page for more Supergirl and lots of great Superboy, Wonder Boy, Robin, Power Girl, Wonder Woman, Sailor Moon and other sketches. Note: the site's a little difficult to view due to the inline frames.
Supergirl Information
- Supergirl at Supermanica - Supermanica is a wiki-style "Encyclopedia of Superman Biography". The Supergirl bio is a very good chronicle of the Silver Age Supergirl's story and adventures.
- Scans_Daily Supergirl posts - I didn't really know where to put this, but it's all the posts to the LiveJournal community scans_daily which are Supergirl-tagged (some images will load only in IE)
- Superman Homepage - Supergirl Special Report - an in-depth profile of the Supergirl character and series, from the very first Supergirl in 1958, through to the end of Peter David's 80-issue series.
- Supergirl on Wikipedia
- Timeline of First Appearances of Each Supergirl, Superwoman, etc. - exhaustive timeline of first and final appearances of every DC character ever named Supergirl, Superwoman, Power Girl, or Kara
- The World of Supergirl at Superman Thru the Ages
- Superman Cinema: Supergirl the Movie - good guide to the movie (general, the music, the production, DVD), including the early version of the movie script
Fan Works
- The Diary of a Midvale Orphan - a hilarious bit of fanfic taking place during the Silver Age "Midvale Orphanage" years, told from the perspective of another orphan who finds Linda Lee's behavior just a little peculiar.
- Supergirl's Wallpaper Annex
- Supergirl Interrupted - a photo memorial using scans from the 1996-2003 Supergirl book to chronicles the character's history, starting with Linda becoming Supergirl and ending with her leaving her role in "Many Happy Returns".

In reverse chronological order. Asterisks mark my favourites. This is section is *incredibly* out of date - Supergirl is all over the comics blogosphere these days!

- Girl-Wonder.org - Stephanie Brown (Spoiler/Robin IV) is the patron saint of this fascinating collective of blogs, web sites and articles examining the state of female superheroes in DC and Marvel. Not for fanboys in need of Feminism 101, this stuff dives deep into the pervasive misogyny in comics, while celebrating the good stuff. Lots of awesome writing.

- Women in Refrigerators - "Dedicated to the women with capes who died for comics". Created by the fab Gail Simone (Birds of Prey).
Comicbook Stores
- Mile High Comics - the largest selection of back issue comics on the internet, many classic Supergirl comics can be purchased from this site. Note that the older comics from Action and Adventure have become collector's items and are extremely pricey. The later comics from the 70's are a lot cheaper.
- MyComicShop - also carries a large number of Supergirl back issues similar to Mile High Comics, but appears to have more of the 1996-2003 series in stock.
